Despite losing custody of her eldest son Rocco, Madonna was recently spotted at his school in London as she was probably concerned that the absence of her former husband Guy Ritchie would affect their son's schooling.
According to reports, a source close to the 58-year-old singer said, 'It's the start of a new school year and if his father, who lives in London, can't be there, then his mother is going to have to be,' reports the Daily Mail.
The father is believed to be spending the week at musician friend and singer, Sting's Malibu mansion.
This would be the first time the mother and son had been seen in public together since she lost her custody battle with Ritchie, who now has primary custody of the teen,
The pair was seen in good spirits, dining at Farmacy Restaurant in Notting Hill where they were photographed chatting away for several hours over the food.
One fellow diner is reported to have said, "Looking at them, you'd never guess they'd been through so much drama this summer with the custody battle. It's clear they're happy it's all over and they can get on with life."
Earlier this month, Madonna and her ex-hubby were reported to have reached a settlement that said the teenager would continue to live with his father in London.
