Madonna, who has raked in 80 million pounds thanks to her hit tour, has beaten the likes of Steven Spielberg and Simon Cowell to be crowned the highest-grossing celebrity of 2013.
According to Forbes magazine, even though the 'Vogue' hit maker's recent album 'MDNA' sold less than 1 million copies, her tour was absolutely sensational, the Daily Express reported.
The tour, which has apparently made 196 million pounds, also earned the singer the top touring award at the Billboard Music Awards.
Forbes said that Madonna's success, at age 55, just goes to show the incredible power of a successful music career.
Meanwhile, Spielberg ranked second on the Forbes list, with 64 million pounds and the third place was a tie, with 61 million each, for 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' author E.L. James, US radio DJ Howard Stern and Cowell.
