Some of the major US federal agencies' websites went offline following the partial shutdown of the government as the budget had not been restored.

The US Department of Agriculture's post on its website stated that due to the lapse in federal government funding, the website is unavailable, while the website of the Department of Justice features a stark, black and white image stating that it would not be regularly updated.

According to Fox News, the National Security Agency's website features a message stating that the site would not be updated, but the Federal Trade Commission's website was completely taken offline.

The FTC's website stated that the consumers may file FOlA requests, but they will not be processed and consumers cannot file complaints or register for Do Not Call adding that all public workshops, roundtables, hearings and conferences are postponed until further notice.

Other websites which were taken offline included the website for the Library of Congress and the website for the National Zoo, the report added.
