The Delhi Police on Monday arrested a man, who identified himself as Imran, in possession of a live bullet, when he had gone to meet Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
As per an official statement, the accused had allegedly found the bullets in the donation of a mosque and had kept it in his wallet which he later forgot about.
39-year-old Imran works as the caretaker of a mosque. He was among the 13 people, including Muslim clerics, who had gone to Kejriwal's Janata Darbar with a request to increase the salary provided by the Waqf Board.
The matter is currently being investigated by the Delhi Police.
The incident comes nearly a week after Kejriwal was allegedly attacked with chilli powder at the Delhi secretariat.
The accused, identified as 40-year-old Anil Sharma, was immediately detained by the security personnel.
