Manchester City has maintained their Premier League title charge following a 3-1 win at home in the Etihad Stadium to West Bromwich Albion on Monday.
Victory saw third-placed City close to within six points of leaders Liverpool with a game in hand while West Brom is still only three points above the relegation zone.
According to sport24, the hosts were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes thanks to goals from Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Aguero and although West Brom pulled one back through Graham Dorrans, however, City defender Martin Demichelis restored his side's two-goal lead before the interval when he turned in a 36th minute corner.
League Cup winners City continue their title bid away to in-form Crystal Palace on Sunday, the report added.
