Man posts picture of dead wife on Facebook confessing murder

A South Miami man reportedly posted a picture of his dead wife on Facebook after killing her.

According to the New York Daily News, Derek Medina posted the disturbing picture of his wife Jennifer Alfonso's body on the social media site along with a bizarre confession saying that he could not deal with his wife's 'punching abuse'.

Medina, 31, had been married to Alfonso since April 2012 and fatally shot her in their home on Thursday before surrendering to authorities.

His Facebook post read as 'I'm going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys miss you guys take care Facebook people you will see me in the news' with a caption that read 'RIP Jennifer Alfonso'.

The report said that the account was not taken down for more than four hours.

Police went to the couple's home and found Alfonso's body and her 10-year-old daughter was at the home, unharmed.

Medina's father said that his son came to see him and admitted to slaying Alfonso and he later took his son to the police station.

His father said that the two were married for three years and then they got divorced before remarrying last year adding that they always had some problems, the report added.
