Manik Sarkar social welfare programme in Tripura

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inaugurated a programme organised by Social Welfare and Social Education Department in collaboration with the Tripura Women's Commission.

Sarkar, who organised the programme on the occasion of International Women's Day, said that the idea of gender-balanced or women-friendly is still a myth and even so called developed nations have failed in achieving gender equality.

A rally was organised on the occasion to educate the society on various issues related to women.
