Former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi witnessed the Dussehra celebrations at the Ramlila Maidan here on Friday.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was also present on the occasion along with a host of other party leaders.
All the three leaders also aimed at the effigy of Ravana as a custom symbolizing the killing of the evil.
Earlier today, Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi had also visited the Subhash Maidan where they witnessed the burning the effigies of demon kings Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhakarna, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari and Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
