Legendary Argentina footballer Diego Maradona has revealed that he would have thrown punches on Barcelona star Lionel Messi over his tricky penalty with Luis Suarez during a match against Celta Vigo.
Messi stepped up to the penalty spot and decided to pass to Suarez for an easy finish instead of shooting directly during Barca's comfortable 6-1 win over Celta in their La Liga clash last month.
"If I'd have been on the pitch for Messi's indirect penalty, there would have been punches thrown, regardless of whether it was the A, the B, the C or the D division, for sure there would have been punches thrown," Maradona was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Maradona had earlier coached compatriot Messi during the 2010 World Cup.
