Marvel has revealed that it will release three new Star Wars comic books in January 2015, launching each month subsequently until March.
The three titles would take place between 'A New Hope' and 'The Empire Strikes Back' and explore the aftermath of the Death Star's destruction for both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
The announcement was made at Marvel's 'Cup o' Joe' panel at Comic-Con in San Diego and Marvel had also been awarded with the comic-book license for the Disney property, as well as the news earlier this month of a series of hardcover collections of Marvel's earlier Star Wars material.
The three series stated were Star Wars by Aaron and Cassaday, Star Wars: Darth Vader by Gillen and Salvador Larocca, and Star Wars: Princess Leia by Mark Waid and Terry Dodson.
