A woman has delivered a baby boy weighting 9 ounce, by C-section while in coma.
John Farrell, Melissa Carleton's father said that after suffering through seizures due to benign brain tumor, she went into a coma in March and, even though she has been unable to speak since she was 26 weeks pregnant, she carried the baby boy to full term, ABC News reported.
Even though she is in coma, she still tries to reach out to her family and sometimes open her eyes and squeeze her family members' hands, he added.
Brian Lande, father of the baby, who has been named West Nathaniel Lande, made sure that his wife was the first one to meet their kid, so he placed him on her chest after the delivery.
