Melanie Griffith has joined the cast of ABC's untitled Molyneux comedy pilot.
The single-camera project from Imagine TV and 20th TV, which is inspired by the book by Kip and Mona Lisa Harding, and was written/executive produced by Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux, will be helmed by Jamie Travis, Deadline.com reported.
The story shows Kip and Mona Lisa Mitchell raising extraordinarily intelligent kids.
Griffith will play Mona Lisa's mom Celeste, a former pageant queen who invites her daughter's family to live with her in Orange County.
The project, which is being executive produced ny Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo, marks the first series regular in a decade for the Oscar-nominated actress.
