The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast heavy rains for next five days in several districts of Telangana.
The weatherman said heavy rain is likely to occur in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medak and Nalgonda districts of Telangana.
The MeT Department has also predicted heavy rains in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts.
Meanwhile, the South West monsoon has brought rain in isolated places in Tamil Nadu like Tiruvallur, Hosur and parts of Kannya Kumari bordering Kerala.
The Met office has issued warning that strong winds from westerly to south-westerly direction at speed of 55 kilometres per hour will hit the sea off Tamil Nadu coast.
