Microsoft is reportedly releasing Windows Phone 8.1 for registered developers.
The move comes 18 months after the software giant last launched a major Windows Phone update.
According to the Verge, this is a significant update to Windows Phone 8, with new features like the Cortana digital assistant, a new notification center, and skinned Tiles for the Start Screen.
Microsoft had detailed the update at its Build conference less than two weeks ago.
