Microsoft has launched an update of its Skype Qik messaging app.

The update is released for iOS devices. The app added support for captions, music and photos.
According to thenextweb.com, Qik now let users add captions to their videos that are displayed as an overlay on top of their clip like rival app Snapchat.
User can also add music to their video message by selecting a track from their iTunes library.
Presently, Qik does not let users choose a snippet of a song for their video. It plays the chosen track from the beginning.

Also, the app now let users send photos too. User can select a group of pictures from their gallery and send them together as a slide show.
Microsoft has not announced yet if or when Qik's Android and Windows Phone apps versions will get these new features.
