Skipper Mithali Raj's unbeaten 81 helped the Indian eves to beat White Ferns by eight wickets in the fourth ODI and level the five-match series 2-2 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Chasing down the target of 221, the hosts got home with 34 balls to spare. Mithali shared a 124-run stand with opener Smriti Mandhana (66) for the second wicket.
Against disciplined new-ball bowling from New Zealand, the openers Mandhana and Thirush Kamini batted sensibly to give their side a safe and decent start, and accelerated later in the innings.
Earlier, Sophie Devine's 89 off 102 balls helped New Zealand women post a decent total of 220.
Right-arm medium pacer Niranjana Nagarajan and left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad were the pick of the Indian bowlers as they took three wickets each to restrict New Zealand.
The final ODI between the two sides will be held in the same venue, on July 8.
