Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh on Saturday emphasised that the government stands firmly with the Kashmiri youth and will provide them every possible support to grow holistically, while coming down heavily on Separatists for leading the youth 'astray'.
Calling for the tense situation in the Valley to simmer down, Singh said, "I believe peace and development share a reciprocal relationship."
Singh further stated that students in the Valley lagging behind due to the grave environment, adding that the Modi government has started several startups and employment schemes to help them grow.
"Youth are going astray due to local elements and in their innocence they can't understand it," he said while addressing the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) conference of Kashmiri students hosted by RSS Muslim Wing in Delhi.
Singh added that as the country is progressing ahead, the state of Jammu and Kashmir should also join the bandwagon.
Meanwhile, Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) National Convenor Mohammad Afzal asked youth of Kashmir to shun stone pelting and join the mainstream in New Delhi to foster their growth.
