South African pace bowler Morne Morkel said that the batting collapse of West Indies triggered by his team on the fourth day of the third Test at Newlands displayed why they are renowned as the best bowling unit in the world.

West Indies was bowled out for 215 runs in the second innings as the tourists lost six wickets in quick succession for just 13 runs after scoring 182 for the loss of three wickets. South Africa requires 124 runs with nine wickets remaining to win the series 2-0.

South African pace spearhead Dale Steyn and Simon Harmer triggered the batting collapse as they achieved bowling figures of 3/75 and 4/82 respectively.

Morkel, who claimed two wickets for 18 runs on the day, said that they showed why they were the best bowling unit in the world, adding that they worked it session by session to break teams down, Sport24 reported.

West Indies couldn't capitalize on a resilient partnership put down by Leon Johnson (44) and Marlon Samuels (74), which was further consolidated by veteran batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul (50).
