Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said the society must learn from people like Dilip Singh, the construction worker whom Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned today.
"Forces of negativity create such an impression that society cannot be changed but people like Dilip Singh break the myth with their work. Dilip Singh is just a construction worker in Bhojpura village of Sehore but he set a great example of duty. Society needs to learn from him," Chouhan said in his tweet.
"To ensure cleanliness, Dilip constructed 100 toilets without labour charges.
Mention of his name in PM's #MannKiBaat is a matter of pride," he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 15th edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme today, appreciated a villager from Madhya Pradesh - Dilip Singh Maliviya - a mason who builds toilets in his village, Bhojpura, for no charge at all, for his contributions to the 'Clean India' campaign.
The Prime Minister announced his government's plans to unveil the 'Start up India' scheme on January 16.
Prime Minister Modi stressed on the need for innovation and sought suggestions for the scheme from youngsters to turn the country into a 'Startup Capital' of the world.
