Madhya Pradesh Government on Wednesday restricted the use of crackers generating noise more than 125 dB during Diwali.
State Environment Minister Antar Singh Arya has requested the people to use crackers under mentioned noise level and to dump the waste generated by the crackers separately.
He has requested the people not to throw the cracker waste at places, which may pollute the source of drinking water.
The state government, following the Supreme Court's instructions, has also restricted the use of crackers causing noise, from 10 pm to 6 am.
As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Forest and Environment, the manufacturing, sales or use of crackers generating sound of 125 db or 145 dB is barred.
