Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy on Saturday was relieved from his position as party general secretary by the All India Trinamool Working Committee.
This move comes days after Roy had been removed as the leader of the TMC in the Rajya Sabha. Subrata Bakshi has been appointed as the new general secretary in his place.
Roy, has recently been under the scanner of the CBI with relation to the Saradha chit fund scam.
