Murray, Djokovic, Hewitt move into last 16, Serena in quarterfinals at US Open

Top seeds Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams, all won their matches comfortably on Day 7 of the US Open, at Flushing Meadows.

Murray beat Germany's Florian Mayer 7-6, 6-2, 6-2 in a mostly one-sided affair, while Djokovic beat Portugal's Joao Sousa 6-0, 6-2, 6-2.

Serena Williams beat her compatriot Sloane Stephens in another one-sided match, winning 6-4, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Australian player Lleyton Hewitt, who knocked out 6th seed Juan Martin del Potro, also moved into the next round with a 6-3, 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 win over Russia's Evgeny Donskoy.
