With the nation witnessing yet another terror strike in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir, Bollywood's Shehenshah Amitabh Bachchan has mourned the loss of lives of the jawans defending the motherland and said that he is pained beyond words.
The 73-year-old actor took to his Twitter handle to express his thought hours after a group of heavily-armed terrorists in police uniform stormed an army unit in Nagrota in the morning hours on Tuesday, triggering an intense gun battle that lasted for hours.
"Pained beyond words at the loss of life of our jawans and officers at the border today .. prayers and silent mourning!" he tweeted.
Seven army personnel, including two officers, lost their lives in this attack before the three terrorists were killed.
In another incident, three terrorists were gunned down by the Border Security Force (BSF) in Ramgarh area of Samba sector near the International Border after an encounter that lasted several hours and was followed by intense cross-border firing by the Pakistani troops.
The attack took place on a day when General Qamar Javed Bajwa took over as Pakistan Army Chief.
