Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi met senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi here today.

" He (Modi) came to express his gratitude after being anointed as Chairman of BJP campaign committee," Joshi told media after meeting Modi.

" He told me that he is including everyone in the process and will uphold this responsibility well," he added.

Modi, who is in Delhi to meet Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia to finalise the state's annual plan, will also reportedly meet BJP leader LK Advani and later hold talks with party chief Rajnath Singh and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

This will be the first interaction between Advani and Modi since the latter had resigned from three key forums of BJP in the wake of the former's elevation to head the party's campaign committee. Advani, however, later withdrew his resignation.

Meanwhile, Bhagwat is also expected to meet Advani today.

Bhagwat, who had played a significant role in asking Advani to withdraw his resignation from key posts of the BJP last week, has decided to meet the latter despite him voicing grievance over Modi's elevation as the BJP's 2014 poll panel chief.
