Nawaz Sharif's younger brother gets a new title

Shehbaz Sharif , Chief Minister of Pakistan's Punjab Province and younger brother of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, seems to have acquired a new title - 'Punjab Speed'

During his meeting with Ugandan Minister for Foreign and International Affairs Okello Henry Oryem, the latter said that senior officers of Chinese companies working in railway sector of Africa have mentioned the Punjab Chief Minister as 'Punjab Speed' and that speed, quality and transparency are synonymous with him, reports the Nation.

Undoubtedly, Oryem said that he has witnessed 'Punjab Speed', mentioned by Chinese companies in Africa during his visit to Punjab and he is happy to have witnessed the speed of development in the province.

Oryem also praised Sharif on speedy completion of projects in the province.

"This is why the term 'Punjab Speed' has reached Africa from China and it is a proof to his extraordinary performance that Chinese companies working in Africa also mention his name with great respect in connection with speedy completion of projects in Pakistan," said Oryem.

He further said that Punjab has made tremendous progress in different fields and that Uganda seeks its cooperation of in the field of agriculture, education, urban development and planning.

The minister also invited Sharif to pay a visit to Uganda.

Shehbaz Sharif, on the occasion, said that the provincial government was ready to extend its cooperation to Uganda.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Chinese investors also met the Chief Minister and expressed interest in investment in industrial sector in Punjab.

The Chinese showed willingness in setting up of a state-of-the-art industrial zone in Punjab and said that they wanted to develop a big industrial zone which would include establishment of various industries.

Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor has opened new chapters of Pak-China friendship.
