NDFB (S) militant gunned down in Assam's Kokrajhar District

One militant of the banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit faction) (NDFB(S)) was shot down on Sunday by security forces in Assam's Kokrajhar District.

The incident took place after police and a Cobra battalion launched an offensive against the Mwdang Group of the outfit in the Ripu Forest Reserve.

Meanwhile, the security forces are also trying to rescue three construction workers who were kidnapped by the militants on Saturday

at Lumding.
