'Neighbors 2' has got its release date, and has been scheduled to hit theatres in May 2016.
Universal Pictures revealed that the Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne starrer sequel, which would be helmed by the 2014's film's director Nicholas Stoller, would be in cinemas May 13, Deadline.com reported.
The original movie had opened to almost 50 million dollars last May and had ended up earning over 268 million dollars worldwide, claiming a position in 2014's top-grossing original comedy list.
Rogen and Evan Goldberg will produce with James Weaver under their Point Grey Pictures, and Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, who wrote the original, would return to pen the sequel as well as executive produce alongside Good Universe's Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake.
