Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has said that the 'Right to Information' is a fundamental feature of democracy and would contribute to building a sound society.
Oli said it is necessary to pay attention to the time and situation while implementing the right to information and disseminating it.
Oli said all should know the information regarding the issues related to national sovereignty, integrity and national interest as well as issues related to crime and terrorism.
He also called one and all to involve in the campaign of national development with determination.
Information Commission Chairman Krishna Hari Banskota issued 940 directives in the past one year and stressed the need of adding the word 'information disclosure' during amendment to the new Constitution as this wording was not incorporated in the historic charter.
Banskota has been leading the Commission since January 14, 2015.
