Keira Knightley has revealed that she was pretty neurotic and took everything far too seriously till the age of 25 as she used to "google herself."
The 29-year-old actress said that she found it difficult to step back from the criticisms and was taking it very personally because she couldn't figure how to be open emotionally, the Mirror reported.
The 'Bend It Like Beckham' star, who admits getting parts because of the way she looks, added that there was a certain kind of realization of what one has control of and one doesn't, which made her finally come to terms with who she is and how she looks.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star, who avoids internet now, continued that one has to be quite vigilant about it, since if a person is on social media and if he puts anything out in the public, he is opening himself up to a lot of criticism and hatred from a lot of people.
