The J and K state government is building a new water reservoir for the residents of Kremshore area near Khan Sahib Village in Budgam.
The work on this new 6000 metric ton water reservoir is on in full swing and is likely to be completed within a month's time.
The public health engineering department is constructing this water reservoir plant at the cost of around Rs 60 lakh.
The area already had a 5000 metric ton water reservoir but that was not proving sufficient for the residents.
This new plant will benefit some 17 villages which have around 800 families. The locals while welcoming this step said that it will solve the water scarcity which has been there since past many decades.
They thanked the government and said that the work on this reservoir must be completed within the prescribed time frame.
