The National Football League wants M.I.A. to pay 16.6 million dollars for the Super Bowl middle finger incident.
The 38-year-old rapper famously took the stage at the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show in 2012, when she held out her middle finger to the crowd, the Huffington Post reported.
In new documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, NFL has now requested to the British artist to pay the massive amount since their image and reputation has been tarnished by the singer.
M.I.A. took to twitter with a photo of a document slamming the hefty penalty.
