Nicole Scherzinger has apparently been a pillar of strength for 'X Factor' runner up, Jahmene Douglas, and has helped him overcome his intense family issues.
Douglas had revealed in 2012 how, when he was growing up, his family lived in fear of his abusive father, who tortured his mother and drove his brother to commit suicide.
The bashful 22-year-old told the Daily Star that he credits the former 'Pussycat Doll' for helping him make a new start, saying, that everything that real friends do, she has done for him.
Douglas said that he would never forget how Scherzinger helped him overcome so much and achieve his dreams.
He asserted that apart from his mother, the singer is the most amazing woman he knows.
Douglas added to the publication that both of them could be themselves around each other and they've sat down and cried together.
