The high school student who asked Kate Upton to prom took another sports illustrated model, Nina Agdal, after Upton's busy schedule prevented her from accompanying him.
Jake Davidson, a senior at Milken Community High School, gained fame when a YouTube video he produced asking Upton to his dance went viral.
Agdal, who sported a green halter dress during the event, posted an Instagram photo of her prom date with the L.A. senior on Thursday, the New York Daily News reported.
"Had such a great prom night. Thank you @jakedavidson23 for being an awesome date!" she wrote.
Davidson's mother, Cheryl, told The San Bernardino Sun that her son was waiting to hear from Upton and when Agdal heard about it she said, 'If Kate can't go, I'd like to go,'
Davidson, who wore a gray single-breasted tux for the event, was thrilled about Agdal's decision.
He later tweeted his thanks to his new-found model friend: "You are the best! Thanks so much for everything.
