Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Monday launched a campaign against the menace of child marriage and dowry and urged the masses to abandon such practices.
Nitish Kumar also called upon people to create awareness in the regard by forming human chain on January 21, 2018.
"Bihar is second in dowry torture after Uttar Pradesh. The campaign against child marriage and dowry practice in Bihar will affect the entire country," Nitish Kumar said.
Kumar also appealed all political parties to help government combat social evils like child marriage and dowry.
