Reacting to former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar's statement accusing BJP of betraying Bihar by turning back on its promise to accord special category status to the state, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra on Tuesday said that Kumar has resorted to 'drama' to gain some media importance.
Nitish Kumar had on Monday staged a day-long 'dharna' in Patna demanding special category status for Bihar.
"It is astonishing that Nitish Kumar is sitting on a 'dharna'. If anyone is responsible today for the bad situation in Bihar, it is the government run by JD (U). In order to gain some media attention, to gain some TV space, Nitish Kumar has resorted to such drama," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI here.
Taking a jibe at JD (U), Patra added that JD (U) stands for 'Jaao Dhoondo Usey' party.
During his 'dharna', Nitish Kumar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised special category status to Bihar during his election campaign but now he has betrayed the people of Bihar after getting support.
