Nitish seeks to know who'll be BJP's CM if voted to power

Canvassing for the Mahagathbandhan (the grand alliance) for the Bihar assembly polls, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here on Friday sought to know who would be the BJP's chief minister, if the party was voted to power.

"The BJP doesn't have a leader. Will Prime Minister Modi become the chief minister? Modi would have not left the chief minister's post had there been any possibility for him to hold the chief minister's post simultaneously," said Kumar, addressing a rally here.

"The BJP had contested the Lok Sabha polls under the leadership of Narendra Modi; however, when you ask to them about their chief ministerial candidate, they say they are contesting the Bihar polls, too, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi," said the Chief Minister, adding that the day is not too far when BJP people will contest even panchayat elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Taking a potshot at the BJP over alleged distribution of tickets to criminals, he said, "What has happened to the party with difference? The people, who had voted the BJP to power at the Centre, have come to know the real character of the BJP."

Rebuffing Prime Minister Modi's 'Jungle Raj' rhetoric, Nitish said, "The Prime Minister is demoralising us. In Bihar, there is no Jungle Raj in Bihar, and there prevails the law of the land."

Citing the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) statistics, which has recorded crime per one lakh population, Kumar said Bihar comes at 22nd position.

"I have started my poll campaign from Samastipur, and I want all 10 assembly seats falling under the Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency. So, don't waste even a single vote, and vote for the Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance), which stands united," he added.
