Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will sit on a day long fast in state capital Patna on Saturday to register his party's protest against the Land Acquisition Bill.

As per reports, state Janata Dal (United) chief Basistha Narayan Singh and other party leaders would also observe a fast along with Nitish.

The hunger protest will take part at the party headquarters.

Earlier this week, the Lok Sabha passed the Land Acquisition Bill of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP Government at the Centre via a voice vote. Nine amendments to the bill have been adopted.
