South Korean news agency Yonhap has quoted a spokesman of the country's government, as saying that North Korea has fired two suspected short-range missiles into the sea.
Picking up on the report, the BBC quoted Um Hyo-sik, as saying that the missiles were fired into the sea from a site in North Korea's Hwanghae Province.
Um Hyo-sik said the missiles landed in international waters about 500 km from their launch site.
The South Korea Government statement said that it was the fourth such test conducted by North Korea in the in last two weeks.
