North Korea is prepared to launch a nuclear war if it feels threatened, the nations' ambassador to the U.K. has said.
Hyun Hak-bong said that North Korea had nuclear weapons and was ready to use them "any time." He cautioned, "If a sparkle of a fire is made on the Korean peninsula, it will lead to a nuclear war," reported Sky News.
The official further added, "We don't say empty words. We mean what we mean."
The senior official also lashed out at the allegations made against North Korea days after the United Nations launched yet another probe into the country's human rights record.
