A hotel chain has built a new 200-million-dollar yacht hotel, which could spell the future of architecture in land scarce cities around the world.
Sunborn Gibraltar CEO, Brian Stevendale, told CNN that in Gibraltar there is a huge demand for hotels, but it is not possible to construct in such a small jurisdiction.
He said that unlike traditional building now they have a ready built product, which can be delivered to these prime areas.
The 142-meter superyacht boasts of 189 rooms, spa and gym, cocktail lounges, conference rooms, and even a ballroom.
The yacht is seven storeys tall, and its rooms are expected to cost between 300 dollars and 3,000 dollars per night.
The boat, originally built in Malaysia, is going to be attached to the dock via six superstrong hydraulic arms, weighing 8 tons.
