One person was killed in a grenade blast in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The man, who was a shepherd, took his goats for grazing in militancy-infested Dharhal area of the district, where he accidently pulled up pin of a stray grenade lying in the bushes after which it exploded.
"We inspected the blast site and found a grenade pin. This area is infested by militancy, so most probably this must be an old grenade lying in the bushes. The pin is rusty. The deceased came at the site with herd of goats and he found the grenade and it accidentally exploded in which he died at the spot," said sub divisional police officer Surjeet Kumar.
Police have launched a massive search operation in the area for further investigation.
