The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was in a state of pandemonium on Saturday following a hue and cry over the state government's discrimination in sanctioning funds for the Jammu region.
Panthers Party MLAs were physically removed from the House by marshals for creating an uproar in the Assembly.
Explaining the reason behind the pandemonium, Panthers Party leader Harsh Dev Singh said, "The government had promised that they would do justice to all the three regions in the state, and remove the discrimination faced by the Jammu region. But in six years, the government has done nothing to remove this discrimination and in fact, over the years the discrimination has increased."
Complaining about the lack of funds for Jammu's development, Singh said, "If you talk about devolution of funds to different departments, then no department in J-K received more than 30 percent funding for development," adding, "Even the employment share received by Jammu was not more than 20 percent, even after the government promised."
The J-K Assembly had earlier today also witnessed an uproar over Minority Affairs minister Najma Heptullah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's recent comments.
