Peaches Geldof did not see her father Sir Bob Geldof for several weeks before her death at her home in Wrotham, Kent, according to reports.
The Sun reported that the TV presenter was distant from 'Boomtown Rats' singer.
A source close to the family told the newspaper that it makes it even harder for her father.
The source added that they had their ups and downs but he loved Geldof more than anything.
In an interview two months ago, Geldof had said that it really was his loss and he will regret it one day.
