An application has been filed at the Islamabad High Court seeking to put former president Pervez Musharraf's name on the exit control list (ECL).
The application was filed by Haroon Rasheed, son of slain Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Rashid Ghazi.
The applicant said that Musharraf should be stopped from travelling abroad as he was allegedly involved in the murder of his father.
According to Dawn News, Rasheed asserted in his application that if Musharraf went abroad it would be difficult to bring him back.
On Wednesday, Musharraf's bail plea was accepted by the Supreme Court in a case pertaining to Baloch politician Nawab Akber Bugti's killing in 2006 army operation.
Musharraf's counsel said that his client is a free citizen now and that he can travel to Dubai to meet his mother.
