Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the Indian cricket team for the outstanding performance against Bangladesh in the quarter finals of the ICC World Cup.
"Excellent game, excellent performance! Congrats yet again Team India," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
Earlier in the day, India beat Bangladesh by 109 runs at a packed Melbourne Cricket Ground, with Rohit Sharma scoring a blistering 137 to prop the Men in Blue to a competitive total of 302-6. Umesh Yadav, with a brilliant bowling figures of 4-31, was instrumental in restricting the opposition to a mere 193.
