Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his best wishes to the nation and the Election Commission on the occasion of National Voters' Day.
Prime Minister Modi took to twitter to extend his greetings via a series of tweets.
"Greetings to my fellow citizens on National Voters' Day. I also convey greetings to ECI, which was formed on this day in 1950."
"I urge all voters across India to make full use of this year's theme of 'Easy Registration, Easy Correction."
"Recent elections through years have witnessed increased turnout, especially among women and young voters. This is a wonderful sign."
The National Voter's Day aims to spread awareness among voters regarding effective participation in the electoral process.
The objective of the programme is also to increase enrolment of voters.
