Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that late former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was a committed man who always looked for challenges and the ways to overcome them.
"Dr. Kalam was a person who did not look for opportunities but challenges. He was always looking for challenges and how to overcome them," said Prime Minister Modi after unveiling the statue of late president at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Bhavan here.
"Just after leaving the presidency, after such a big position, he went to teach. This can't happen without an inherent commitment. His last moments were spent with students and that too in the Northeast," he added.
