Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the nation to generously donate for the welfare of the army, on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day.
"On Armed Forces Flag Day, appeal all of you to generously donate towards welfare of our Armed Forces, who serve our Nation day and night," the Prime Minister tweeted.
"Our Armed forces have always risen to occasion and performed every duty with patriotic spirit. Their selfless dedication is outstanding," his tweet further added.
Since 1949, Armed Forces Flag Day is observed every year on December 7 to pay homage and respect to the martyred army personnel who sacrificed their life for the nation.
