Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not scare him by downgrading his security cover.
Reportedly, the Centre has withdrawn 'Z-Plus' security cover of Lalu Prasad. He will now be given 'Z' security cover, and armed commandos of the Central Reserve Police Force will guard him instead of National Security Commandos.
"If Narendra Modi thinks I will be scared, I won't. Everyone, even the children of Bihar, will protect me," he said here.
The RJD supremo also disapproved of his son Tej Pratap Yadav's statement threatening Prime Minister Modi for downgrading his father's security.
Speaking to media, Lalu said, "If a son comes to know that his father is being conspired against and his security gets revoked, he will react. I don't approve of this (language). I have spoken to him and told him to not speak anything like that again."
Former Bihar cabinet minister, Tej Pratap, earlier in the day, threatened to skin Prime Minister Modi for scaling down his father's security cover.
"This is a conspiracy to get him (Lalu) murdered, but we will give a befitting reply to them (the Centre). We will get Narendra Modi skinned," Tej Pratap said.
