Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condemned the terror attack at Bacha Khan University in Pakistan and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.
"Strongly condemn the terror attack at Bacha Khan University in Pakistan. Condolences to families of the deceased. Prayers with the injured," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
In Pakistan, heavily-armed terrorists today stormed the university in Pakistan's restive northwest Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa province and opened indiscriminate fire on students and teachers.
At least 21 people have been killed and over 30 others injured in the attack.
Over 3,000 students were present inside the university to mark the death anniversary of Khudai Khidmatgar Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan alias Baacha Khan, who died on January 20, 1988.
The Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
